Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov in the course of her official visit to that country.

The prospects of a continued development of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani co-operation in various areas, including trade, economic affairs, investments, energy and transport, were talked over at the meeting.

President Sadyr Japarov underlined the special nature of the allied relationship between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan and then pointed at the importance for the continued development of the two countries’ relationship of the achieved agreements including the Allied Relationship Agreement signed during the state visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Kyrgyzstan in July this year.

Sahiba Gafarova communicated to President Sadyr Japarov the greetings and best regards of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Having observed that the bilateral relations inclusive of the inter-parliamentary ties are progressing dynamically, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis emphasised the importance of continued strengthening of the two countries’ co-operation.
