Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova Arrives in Republic of South Africa on a Working Visit

A delegation of the Parliament of Azerbaijan led by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova arrived in Cape Town of the Republic of South Africa on a working visit.

The delegation were welcomed at the international airport of Cape Town by Chairman of the ICT and Oversight Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of South African Republic (RSA) Cedric Thomas Frolick, Azerbaijan’s Charge d’Affaires in the RSA Huseyn Rahimli and other officials.

During the visit, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis will take part in the 11th G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit.

Sahiba Gafarova is to address the Summit as well as to have meetings with leaders of the parliamentary delegations taking part in the event.

The tenure of a Milli Majlis convocation is 5 years.
