Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova had a meeting with Speaker of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk in the capital city of Ireland.

The presidents of parliament exchanged opinions about the relations between our states and their legislative assemblies, underscored the rich history of interaction of our countries and their nations and commented on the long years the two nations had spent living in amity.

The co-operation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, both bilateral and multilateral, and the importance of mutual support for territorial integrity and solidarity were emphasised as well.

Azerbaijan was thanked for the humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine – the aid that had been taken as a token of the friendly relations.

The bilateral ties are advancing in the inter-legislature dimension, too. The two sides’ friendship groups are bridging them ensuring the success of the efforts made to deepen the work done in this area. Reciprocal visits of group members make it possible to advance the relationship as well as to discuss the matters of shared interest, the speakers agreed.
