The working visit of Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova to Ireland continues. On 28 September, the speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament took part in the opening ceremony of the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament.

First, there was an introductory debate themed ‘Hate speech and threats of violence against elected representatives’.

 The opening ceremony of the conference proper followed. There were speeches by Chairman of the Assembly of Ireland of the Irish parliament Sean O Fearghail, Chairman of the Senate of the Irish parliament Jerry Buttimer, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Tiny Kox, Secretary General of the European Council Marija Pejcinovic Buric and others.

It should be mentioned that the conference continues, with speeches and discussions on various topics. Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, too, is to deliver a speech.
