NAM Parliamentary Network Granted Observer Status with TürkPA

The application of the TürkPA for observer status in the Non-Aligned Movement’s Parliamentary Network and the application of the NAM PN for the same status in the TürkPA were considered and endorsed at the 12th plenum of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States in Ankara.

Thus, with its bids approved, the Network has acquired the observer status with the Assembly.

Chair of the Milli Majlis/NAM PN Sahiba Gafarova spoke at the meeting to welcome the broadening of the TurkPA’s international relations. The memorandum of understanding that the NAP PN in which Azerbaijan is chairing currently and the TürkPA inked in February this year and a continued interaction within the said status will make the international ties of the TurkPA yet stronger.
