THE ATTITUDE OF THE MILLI MAJLIS OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN to the resolution of the Chamber of Representatives of Belgium

The Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan resolutely protests against the unilateral and prejudiced resolution adopted by the Belgian House of Representatives on 17 July 2025 and rejects unequivocally the unfounded accusations levelled against our country in this document. The authors of this resolution, based on unverified, erroneous and one-sided information, disregard the political, legal and humanitarian conditions that have recently emerged in the South Caucasus region, show indifference to the principles and norms of international law and fail to uphold the standards of fairness and impartiality that any parliament is obliged to adhere to.

Documents Signed between Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan and Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan

The Plan of Practical Measures for the Development of Inter-Parliamentary Co-operation for 2025–2026 (a Roadmap) has been signed between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The signing ceremony took place in Khiva in Uzbekistan on the sidelines of the First Uzbek-Azerbaijani Inter-Parliamentary Forum. The document was signed by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova on behalf of Azerbaijan and by Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva on behalf of Uzbekistan.

Participants of the First Uzbek-Azerbaijani Inter-Parliamentary Forum visited several historical and cultural landmarks in the city of Khiva in Uzbekistan.
