Chairman of Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis Visits great Leader’s Graveside and Martyrs’ Lane

The Uzbek parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov who are visiting in Baku currently have gone to the Alley of Honour on 16 May to pay the homage of respect to the memory of the architect and builder of the modern independent Azerbaijani State, our national leader Heydar Aliyev. A wreath was put at the monument to Heydar Aliyev.

The Uzbek delegation also paid their respects to the outstanding ophthalmology researcher Academician Zarifa Aliyeva and adorned her gravestone with fresh flowers.

Next, the members of the delegation of Uzbekistan travelled to the Martyrs’ Lane to honour the memories of the sons of the Motherland who had laid down their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. They installed a wreath at the Eternal Flame Memorial there.

As the guests were marvelling at Baku’s cityscape from the capital’s highest point, they also listened to the story of the Martyrs’ Lane and the narrative about the building and amenity work done around the city.

The leader of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan inter-parliamentary connexions working group Eldar Ibrahimov and other officials kept the Uzbek guests company.
