Milli Majlis Chair Sahiba Gafarova Holds Another Videoconference Surgery

The MP for the Shamkir Town Constituency No 98 and Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova held another surgery in the video-conferencing mode today.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova listened to the constituents’ appeals concerned with various subjects. On another note, some of the constituents having joined the video-surgery thanked the state leadership for the solution of the matters they had either brought up at the previous surgeries or in applications. It was mentioned then that queries concerning the topics raised by constituents at the previous video session had been sent to the appropriate offices; besides, some others had been resolved to the applicants’ satisfaction already.

Sahiba Gafarova informed those taking part in the video-surgery of the work that is being done under the guidance of President Ilham Aliyev with the purpose of improving citizens’ social protection and living conditions and of the continued strengthening and modernisation of the infrastructural provisions in the provinces of the country. Mrs Gafarova noted that Azerbaijan was a social state and the human factors as well as the interests of its citizens were at the core of the social policy implemented by it. Mrs Gafarova underlined the continuation of relevant social projects despite the pandemic circumstances, even. She highlighted the dramatic contribution of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation led by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva to the corresponding efforts of the State.

Chair of the Milli Majlis also supplied the constituents with detailed information about the measures taken to prevent the coronavirus infection spreading and to reinforce further the social protection of the population. She reiterated the importance of adopting the recommendations of the Operations HQ acting under the auspices of the Cabinet of Ministers and called on the constituents to follow the social conduct, personal hygiene and medical preventive rules, all of which are necessary given the current situation, and to keep the social distance.

In addition, Madame Speaker told the video-surgery participants about the brilliant victory in the Patriotic War and the restoration of the national territorial wholeness under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev last year, about the restoration and rebuilding initiatives afoot in the de-occupied territories, the high standards set by the state care of shahid families and handicapped people, about the activities of the Milli Majlis and about other things.

It will be mentioned that representatives of Shamkir Province Executive Authority were connected to the video-conference; so, a number of constituent applications were forwarded to them in view of the concerned matters’ local specificity. As for the other applications, queries about them were sent to the appropriate state agencies.
