A Meeting of Parliamentary Delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia Has Taken Place
A bilateral meeting between the parliamentary delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia was held on 18 November within the framework of the 23rd Autumn Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Istanbul.
The meeting took place on the basis of an agreement reached between the Speakers of Parliament of Azerbaijan and Armenia during the discussions held in Geneva on 21 October 2025.
The positive role of the Washington Summit was high-lit at the meeting; there was an exchange of views as to the agreements reached regarding strengthening peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the next steps in this direction, as well as about the importance of both countries’ parliaments supporting this process.
The role of the Parliaments in the measures being implemented to strengthen confidence between the two countries was discussed, and the significance of a constructive dialogue amongst parliamentarians in the format of international organisations was emphasised in the course of the conversation.
