There was a telephone conversation between Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova and Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk. The discussion addressed matters related to the co-operation between the parliaments of the two countries; contentment was expressed with the current state of the bilateral relations.

Ways to expand further the inter-parliamentary co-operation were reviewed to the backdrop of the comprehensive development of Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations and the importance of reciprocal visits was emphasised. In this context, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova invited Ruslan Stefanchuk to visit the Republic of Azerbaijan. Confidence was also conveyed during the conversation that the inter-parliamentary ties will continue to develop both bilaterally and within the framework of international organisations by virtue of combined efforts.
