The Disciplinary Commission of the Milli Majlis held a meeting on 1 February.

The Commission member Sattar Mehbaliyev who was moderating the meeting said that the Disciplinary Commission had been re-composed at the first sitting of the spring parliamentary session held earlier today, all in accordance with Article 41 of the Internal Statute of the Milli Majlis. The agenda of the first meeting of the newly-created Commission included election of its Chair, Deputy Chair and Secretary. The moderator of the meeting positively assessed the past-term leadership of the Disciplinary Commission by MP Eldar Ibrahimov and nominated his candidacy for the post of Commission Chair. The MPs Fazail Aghamali and Nurlan Hasanov were nominated for the positions of Deputy Chair and Secretary of the Disciplinary Commission respectively.

The Commission Members then elected Eldar Ibrahimov as their Chairman, Fazail Aghamali as Deputy Chairman and Nurlan Hasanov as Secretary of the Disciplinary Commission.

First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis and Chairman of the parliamentary Law Policy and State-Building Committee Ali Huseynov who, too, took part in the meeting spoke to congratulate the MPs, to wish all the Commission Members success in their eventual work and to voice several remarks and ideas about ethical conduct and disciplinary matters.

Then, Commission Chairman Eldar Ibrahimov, Deputy Commission Chairman Fazail Aghamali and Members of the Commission Hikmat Mammadov and Mashhur Mammadov thanked the Milli Majlis Leadership and all the MPs for their confidence in them. They also commented on the future activities of the Commission.

With that, the meeting of the Disciplinary Commission of the Milli Majlis was over.

The other officials who had taken part in the meeting were the MPs Nurlan Hasanov, Afat Hasanova, Malahat Ibrahimghizi, Nasib Mahamaliyev, Nizami Safarov and Kamaladdin Gafarov.
