Delegation of Serbian Parliament Goes to Great Leader’s Grave, Martyrs’ Lane

The delegation led by Speaker of the Parliament of Serbia Vladimir Orlić and in Azerbaijan on an official visit went to the Alley of Honour on 6 October to pay homage in memoriam our people’s National Leader, architect and builder of the modern and independent Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev. They put a wreath before his final resting place and adorned his tombstone with fresh flowers.

Also, the delegation arrived at the Martyrs’ Lane to honour the memory of the sons of the Motherland who had laid down their lives for her freedom and sovereignty. Their gravestones were decorated with fresh flowers. The Serbian guests installed a wreath in front of the Eternal Flame Memorial as well.

Then, as they were enjoying the view of Baku from its highest point, the guests were told of the history of the Martyrs’ Lane and the building and amenity work going on around the capital city.

Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev and other officials accompanied the Serbian parliamentarians.
