As reported, the delegation of the Milli Majlis led by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova are in Ankara on an official visit. The members of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Working Group on inter-parliamentary relations have met with members of the friendship group for Azerbaijan of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye in the course of this visit.

Head of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan group Şamil Ayrım greeted the Azerbaijani delegation before talking about the progress of the relations between our friendly and brotherly countries in all the encompassed areas and, especially, about the role of the two Heads of State in making those relations stronger. The two legislatures, too, maintain solid co-operation that greatly relies on reciprocal visits and meetings, Mr Ayrım pointed out. And, of course, the current visit of Sahiba Gafarova is going to make a contribution of its own to the advancement of the relations, in his opinion.

Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee of Health and Head of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Group Ahliman Amiraslanov said that, to quote President Ilham Aliyev, there was no analogue to the relations of our countries anywhere else around the world. This brotherhood and this friendship turn stronger and broader with each passing day, according to Mr Amiraslanov who underscored the unique contribution of the Azerbaijani and Turkish parliaments to the deepening of the inter-state links and said that the work done to that end was commendable.

Members of the Milli Majlis WG Eldar Guliyev, Javanshir Pashazade, Aghalar Valiyev and Fazil Mustafa and members of the GNAT Group Kemal Çelik, Cantürk Alagöz, Orhan Erdem, Mehmet Şahin and Uğur Bayraktutan commented on the current high level of interaction between our fraternal and amicable countries, a continued deepening of inter-parliamentary connexions and other matters of interest to both sides.
