Chair of the Milli Majlis Committee for Family, Women’s and Children’s Affairs Hijran Huseynova had a meeting with Chair of the Commission for Women and Opportunities of Equality amongst Women and Men of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Çiğdem Erdoğan Atabek as well as her delegation on 18 October.

Mrs Huseynova said during their conversation that the relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye were advancing in the spirit of friendship and fraternity. She told of the elevated social position of the Azerbaijani women and their attention, not failing to emphasise the relevant endeavours and initiatives of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva.

Thanking for the meeting, Mrs Atabek congratulated the Azerbaijani side on the Independence Restoration Day (18 October) and the victory in the 44 days’ Patriotic War.

The guest talked about the importance of co-operation between the legislative assemblies, adding that our sibling countries’ interaction in various areas provided for a continued solidification of the two peoples’ unity and solidarity.

The others present at this meeting were Azerbaijani MPs Jala Aliyeva and Tamam Jafarova and their Turkish colleagues Aliye Timisi Ersever and Ruken Kilerci.
