Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising Committee in a Meeting

The Milli Majlis Committee for Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising had a meeting on 29 December to consider the appointment of an auditor of the Chamber of Accounts of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Vugar Emin oglu Ibrahimov is nominated for the position based on the nomination by Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, said the committee chairman Tahir Mirkishili before expanding on the efficient working links between the parliament and the Chamber that he said had been advancing these past few years. He also mentioned the Chamber’s reviews and opinion statements on draft State Budgets as well as Bills tabled at parliamentary plena. Besides, Mr Mirkishili brought up improvements in the work of the Chamber and outlined what difficult tasks it has before it and what best course it should take to overcome those challenges.

Vugar Ibrahimov who has worked for the Chamber of Accounts as department head and Chief of Staff since 2007 will now make a contribution to its further achievements as auditor, according to Mr Mirkishili.

Deputy Chairman of the parliamentary committee Ali Masimli and its members Mahir Abbaszade, Elnur Allahverdiyev, Mazahir Efendiyev, Rufat Guliyev and Igbal Mammadov as well as Deputy Head of the Economic Legislation Department of the Milli Majlis Staff Rovshan Muradov commented on the candidature of Vugar Ibrahimov, which they found to be opportune. They wished him success in the new tenure and put across some of their own remarks and suggestions.

Vugar Ibrahimov thanked the parliamentarians for their backing and promised to spare no effort to justify their confidence in him.

The Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising Committee resolved following the discussion that Vugar Ibrahimov as a candidate auditor of the Chamber of Accounts was one to the point and so recommended this matter should be tabled for consideration at a plenum of the Milli Majlis.
