Talibov Vasif Yusif
Born in the village of Aralig of Sharur region, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, January 14, 1960; graduated from the History Department at the Nakhchivan State Pedagogical Institute, and the Department of Law at the Baku State University; PhD in Economics; associate professor; foreign languages: Russian.
Since 1981 secondary school teacher in the village of Damirchi in Sharur district; since 1982 personnel instructor, Manager of special department at the Nakhchivan knitting factory; since 1991 senior assistant to the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic; since 1994 first Deputy Prime Minister of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic; since 1995 Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Member of the Political Council and Governing Board of the New Azerbaijan Party.
Was elected to first and second Milli Mejlis terms of the Republic of Azerbaijan. On November 06, 2005 re-elected as Member of Parliament from Sharur-Sadarak Constituency No 1; Head of the Azerbaijan-Iran working group on interparliamentary relations; member of the Azerbaijan-USA and Azerbaijan-France working groups on interparliamentary relations.
Married, with three children.
